Project Manager/Technology Consultant

DelCor Technology Solutions, Inc., established in 1984, is looking for a smart, tech-savvy professional with association/non-profit experience to join our technology management consulting practice as a full time employee. This person must have project management experience. A PMP certification is preferred.

We are looking for a well rounded person with a great work ethic who knows association business processes, writes and communicates well verbally, and who is organized and detail oriented. The applicant should be a problem solver and be adaptable, resourceful and responsive. We are looking for someone experienced in databases/association management systems/Web applications and database implementation project management, which will help this individual hit the ground running. Training experience would be beneficial.

The project management/consultant position will entail working with associations/non-profits primarily in managing the implementation of association management and other mission-critical systems.

As project manager, responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling and project plan management
  • Project cost tracking
  • Application testing management
    • Script development
    • On-site testing facilitation
    • Issue documentation and tracking
    • Level 1 (first line) troubleshooting
  • Record keeping and documenting meetings

In addition, the following capabilities are required:

  • Ability to serve as liaison between client and vendors
  • Ability to identify and advocate best practices
  • Ability to balance multiple, simultaneous project tracks

In addition, depending on the specific project(s), the consultant/PM may be involved in system selections, Web strategic planning/usability studies, system assessments, vendor relations and related activities that maximize our clients' use of their management systems. The consultant may also be providing consulting services for technology strategic planning and business process streamlining.

The ideally suited person will bring project management skills to the table and we will train the right individual on our established, successful and DelCor-specific methodologies. This is a people-oriented position so there will be much face-to-face time with clients, vendors, other team members, etc.

We have clients in the DC metropolitan area and throughout the U.S., so some travel will be required.

We offer a professional, yet relaxed atmosphere and good benefits. Our office is located in downtown Silver Spring less than one block from the red line Metro and MARC train - but a lot of your time will be spent at client sites versus at the office. If interested, please submit a resume via e-mail to superconsultants@delcor.com.

If you (or someone you know) has a good deal of initiative and likes communicating with a variety of people in various association/non-profit environments, and are of the philosophy that going the extra mile is key, this may be a great opportunity for you!
