Type: Regular, Full-Time Perm Network Engineer / Administrator (M-F, 8:30a-5:30p)

We are actively seeking a permanent, full-time Microsoft Network Engineer / Administrator to provide software and hardware computer consulting to association, nonprofit, and foundation clients in the DC metro area. This is a great position for an MCSE professional wanting regularly changing and challenging situations. The position requires great oral and written communication skills, including strong telephone communication skills, and a professional appearance. Requires daily travel to different client locations within the DC metro area.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with Microsoft LANs
  • MCSE 2003 or greater
  • Recent hands-on experience with Windows server (2003, 2008, Exchange 2007, 2010) and workstation (XP, Vista, Windows 2007) environments is ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED
  • Must have proficiency with Active Directory, domain controllers, IP addressing, DNS, VPNs, and remote access
  • Recent experience building, migrating and/or upgrading Windows Server, Exchange Servers, Citrix Metaframe, Windows Terminal Server, Firewalls (e.g. Watchguard, Sonicwall, CISCO) is highly desired
  • Experience in large network environments with the willingness to also work in small offices
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • Truly excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
  • Professional attitude and commitment to providing high-quality service
